Hello! I'm Paul Bytheway and I'm a wedding celebrant living in Manchester, UK.
For the last 15 years I've worked as a musician standing next to celebrants at weddings, so a few years ago I thought 'that job looks great!!'
I now use the skills from my past life as a teacher and front man to deliver fun, modern and heart felt ceremonies (I can be a big softy!) for some really lovely people. My job is ace.
So you've already decided you want a celebrant....
Firstly, great choice!
This means that you can personalise your ceremony down to the very last word.
You probably already know that you need to do the legal part elsewhere, but that doesn't bother you! You just know how you want your ceremony to make you feel and you know that a personalised script is how to do this.
The next part is tricky...which celebrant is going to be right for you?
No celebrant is right for everyone. You need to find someone that you can imagine being a guest at your wedding. Someone you'd like to hang out with and involve in your life.
The reason for this is simple. The celebrant you choose will really get to know you as a couple, so you need to feel comfortable in telling them all about your relationship. Then, that person will stand up in front of your friends and family to talk all about you. This really needs to be someone you connect with.

So why choose me as your celebrant?
I'm a pretty laid back guy, and as a celebrant, I'm no different. If you're looking to really enjoy planning your wedding in a stress free way, I could just be your person. I love people, and I love the dynamics between couples even more.
I'll firstly video call you (if we haven't met in person) to have a free chat about you and your wedding plans. This is a chance for us both to get to know each other and see if we'd work well together.
I love to hear people's ideas, but I'm also an ideas man myself. So if you're looking for some creativity for your wedding , I'm there!
If you decide to book me as your celebrant, I'll then send you a planning guide to start thinking about ahead of our in-person meeting. The meeting is so important to the process and is usually done at the venue. We spend a couple of hours chatting, laughing and planning. It's such a fun process!
After this, I write your script and we talk a lot on emails and calls to make your ceremony perfect for you both.
Once you book me for your wedding, I'm all in. Whatever needs doing, I'm there.
